The story of John and his Dog Water Box:

John grew up in rural South Dakota with a passion for hunting. While hunting on the family farm, John thought of a unique way to water his dog. Tired of having to bring both a jug of water and a bowl, John came up with the idea of one container that could do both. He wanted the water box to hold over one gallon of water as this was just the right amount of water for a day of hunting with a larger dog. John's careful placement of vent holes allowed the water to quickly fill the dog watering area of the box. To insure that the water box would be sturdy and easy to clean, he constructed it out of aluminum. The result was a lightweight but strong watering box that holds the right amount of water. Tragically, John died in an automobile accident while traveling home from college. As a way to keep John's memory alive, his family has partnered with Rugged Gear to make John's Water Box available to the public. Now you and your dog can enjoy the convenience of this handy device!
